Another day. Another half completed. You really never know how it’ll go until you cross that start and finish. May not be the race I wanted but I still crossed that finish. There is always another race waiting for me
Startline of the Ft. Lauderdale Half with Teddy. Can’t ever leave him behind
Mich Ultra Ft Lauderdale Half #16. It was hot n humid then it was cloudy then it rained. I didn’t do what I wanted but my runbud Joe did amazing for his first race. We’re soggy cold and happy. Earning that beer for sure. Body just didn’t cooperate
Ready for half marathon 16 tomorrow. My best arsenal for a good run. Things I can’t race without @nuunhydration @altrarunning @injinji @headsweats and my Adidas shorts. Looking forward to seeing how tomorrow goes.
Two weeks ago I completed my 2nd marathon. It was truly 26.2 miles of pure hell. I had trained and it had gone well. The weather was even looking perfect. I had discovered that my optimum race temp is low 50s. However, the temps had spiked the few days prior and my goal time finishing was not looking good. I remained optimistic but I had a plan b and plan c in place. The only time when I plan it seems.
How training for the Chicago Marathon saved my life and changed it forever. I never knew I was on a journey until I was halfway through. Many plot twists for sure but as I get ready to leave for Chicago, I am not the person I was 4 months ago.
