Meet Maxine, Aka The Tiara Lady with me, the Donut Lady. She has over 75 tiaras and matches head to toe. She visits hospitals to bring a little sunshine to those in need. When I asked if it was her birthday. Her response was “everyday is my birthday when I wake up breathing”. Happy. Go make someone’s day.
Everyday just keep swimming. Entering week 6 of no running. There were some dark days but there is now progress. I could walk down stairs like most yesterday. HUGE. Today I walked in the sand without pain OR a limp. I even swam down to the bottom kicking. Progress makes me feel hopeful. Now to lace up and get back on the road. I’m thankful for the amazing friends and support I have had. We all need help. It’s hard to ask for it but it’s even harder to admit it
Kitten is the official poster kitty for best lapcats. Love this round furball.
How training for the Chicago Marathon saved my life and changed it forever. I never knew I was on a journey until I was halfway through. Many plot twists for sure but as I get ready to leave for Chicago, I am not the person I was 4 months ago.
Today, I got my 5th leased car. That’s right. FIVE. The reason why I started getting a lease when i was 21 years old was because I was told I could use it as a tax write off. Plus, after a few years when I got bored I could get a new one.
Life is funny at times. I always know to expect the unexpected. That has always been my life. Good and bad but all in all pretty good. I admit times have been hard the past year or so with the business. It’s never fun being in a slump. The great thing about a slump is that you start thinking out of the box and you tend to take bigger chances. The comfy life you got used to is no longer there and you realize that life is as fluid as water and makes some waves. The slump never stays for long if you make a choice to do something about it.
